Why is everyone so mean to the Pre? Just the other day a guy tried (very unsuccessfully) to drown his Pre in a beer in order to get his boss to purchase him an iPhone. This week a guy named Zack decided to enact violence upon his Pre and tried to decapitate it

Despite his futile attempt the Pre just kept on ticking working screen and all. This is much more than many other phones can make claim to. Of course this was only possible because the top portion was not completely severed

Those of you who know about faulty screens know that the ribbons used to connect the screen to the motherboard tend to disconnect very easily. So why did this one keep holding on for dear life? After all the phone construction complaints how did the Pre hang in there this time?
