Due to such popular demand Palm has created a way to browse through apps without actually opening the App Catalog. Palm has added a nice little listing of available apps to their website including pictures and a quick summary.

For now this only includes the US apps on the US version of Palm’s site. We suspect that there will also be a listing for other countries following in the coming weeks. The listing doesn’t include much, there are features that Palm could include such as ratings and reviews as well as the price if it were a paid app.

Now if only there were links that launch the App Catalog and take you directly to the download page rather than opening it up and searching for it. Give Palm a hand for compiling a list that Apple and the Android platform have chosen not to, this is just one more reason why I own a Pre over the alternatives.
