CoreCodec bringing Coreplayer to webOS
| by Shawn Brown on October 1st, 2009 |
Many people are pretty familiar with Coreplayer, especially old PalmOS users. Perhaps one of the best media players out there may be making its way over to the new webOS in one form or another. There was even mention of the new 2.0 release in the CoreCodec Community Forums.
With the Pre’s current media player being so limited such an application such as Coreplayer with all of its extensive options is welcomed to webOS with open arms. Let’s just hope that we get some sort of submission from CoreCodec soon whether it be an official app in the App catalog or a beta version in the homebrew section. Do any previous users out there want to see it on the Palm Pre or is than another player you prefer?

Personally, I’d like to see TCPMP on the Pre. I loved it on my Palm TX and I miss it sorely.

Yes, I would like to see it very much, as most of my media files are wma/wmv. As to the the PalmOS versions, I preferred Coreplayer to Kinoma, also a very versatile player. By the way, TCPMP was the free version of Coreplayer way back then.
