There has been much said about the Pre and whether or not it will be making its way over to Verizon Wireless or not but the most recent rumor is leaving those of us with Sprint very disappointed.

Sources are saying that Verizon will be getting and updated version of the Pre, “one that has more memory (or a micro-SD slot), has a slightly bigger screen, and one that fixes the screen bleed problem.” All of these changes sound great but must be taken with a grain of salt because a few are just not possible without redesigning the entire handset such as a slightly larger screen.

If Palm puts more memory in the Pre we suspect it will be no more than 16GB especially if they do decide to go with a MicroSD card slot. The guys over at PreCentral are speculating that if Verizon gets an updated Pre that Sprint with also get it so no need to worry if your sitting on getting one for yourself and no not have Verizon.
