Palm may be in serious trouble suggest rumors

Palm has a lot of to be worried about with the release of the revolutionary webOS and what is suppose to be the smartphone that saves them from going under is not doing as well as they had hopped. You can easily see this because the phone dropped from $249 to just $79 in a few months time, many older smartphones and a few feature phones are currently retaining their value much better than this.

Rumor has it that Palm is going through layoffs and the Windows Mobile team seems to be the department that is suffering the loss. Cutting down usually means a company is in a decline and trying to take preventative measures to ensure that more dire decision need not be made.
The other rumor flying around is that Palm has decided to concede to Apple and give up the fight to keep the Pre syncing with iTunes. Many are calling this the final decline of Palm, they just don’t seem to be doing much in what is suppose to be the first year of reconstruction for them. All we are seeing these days are missed projections and cutbacks. We want to see Palm have the drive that say Samsung has. Will we see an improvement when Verizon gets the Pre or when the Pixi launches?
