Palm release webOS 1.2 after much delay
| by Shawn Brown on September 29th, 2009 |
WebOS 1.2 is here at last, if you haven’t already tried it out head over to the updates page on your Pre and download it now. I have been playing around with it for a few hours now and have noticed some significant improvements.
Palm went against the rumors of releasing this update on September 24th and went with the 28th instead. Originally when Sprint posted the change log the release date was September 8th. It is still a very big mystery as to why we have had to wait and wait and wait. This has been really hard considering the accidental leak and seeing video demos of the version. We heard it was to fix the syncing issue with the new version of iTunes but apparently this is not the case as it still does not work.
Before heading over and updating though we should remind you that all tweaks made to your Pre will in fact be restored back to normal. Though we have not tested we believe that you may be able to re-tweak your Pre with many if not all of the previously available tweaks. We will report back when we know for sure.
