It seems just as we get some information on a subject others come fourth and make comments that clear up the details or prove all of them to be false. Just earlier we got word that Verizon will not be carrying the Palm Pre but now while it’s still not confirmed, it appears very likely that they will.
Verizon needs the Palm Pre and future webOS devices to come their way as much as Palm needs Verizon to showcase their revolutionary new webOS operating system to a whole new crowd of people who would normally not even look into it being on another service provider. With Verizon having the largest network of customers this means a lot of vital exposure to a large portion of the mobile market.
Deutsche Bank commented on the issue:
We believe the press reports late Thursday afternoon that Verizon would not launch the Palm Pre are incorrect. Our checks continue to point to healthy carrier demand for the Pre early in calendar 2010. We believe Palm has placed orders with the supply chain for another version of the Pre with features highly consistent with a Verizon launch.
It seems all cause for alarm is now nothing at all in just a few hours. It appears that Verizon will probably get the Pre early 2010. Rumors are pointing to February as the month we will see it pop up. Maybe we will be seeing a Valentines day Palm Pre special?
