Palm abandoning Windows Mobile and completely focusing on the development of webOS
| by Shawn Brown on September 17th, 2009 |
Recently Palm CEO, Jon Rubinstein, stated in a conference call regarding the fiscal results for last quarter that Palm was moving on with webOS and completely abandoning Windows Mobile.

Palm has seen a lot of growth surrounding the revolutionary new webOS operating system and it speaks volumes knowing that a company believes so much that they completely abandon all other options for operating systems.
This may mark the end of the Centro but Rubinstein said that webOS was a good platform for business so it is still unclear what they are going to do. All of the focus will be on building products surrounding webOS and all engineering efforts will be completely focused on developing devices to run the new operating system.

Where is technical information what this HW & SW can do?
Until I’ve seen that I can only believe that it is newer than my Palm IIIx & HP iPaq, not better.
Is it a PDA or a phone? I shouldn’t have to search for answers, magazines are reporting on it but they don’t seem to have access to the functionality facts either.
Palm USED to be better than this!
