wordaceA few days ago we told you about a bunch of new apps/games that hit the WebOS App Catalog. One of them was a game called Word Ace that we described as a mix between Scrabble and Texas Holdem’. Sounds confusing, but when you watch this video by the game’s maker – Self Aware – you’ll immediately understand and will probably want to play right away!

The video discusses object, profile pictures, in-game text/chat, keyboard use and multi-player friend list. Here is how they explain Word Ace on the Self Aware website:

Word Ace combines the strategy and competition of Texas Hold ?Em with the intellectual challenge of classic word games into a fast-paced multiplayer online game you can carry in your pocket.

With built-in friends lists, text chat, and a unique picture-based “emote” system, Word Ace makes it easy and rewarding to play with your friends. Can you rack up the highest-scoring word, or are you going to have to bluff your way to victory?

  • Online multiplayer: Play against a world of opponents, or against just your friends!
  • Keep it Social: With the unique, picture based “emote” system and built-in text chat, with Word Ace, you’re not just playing the game – you’re playing with people.
  • Endless fun: Easy to pick up, and endlessly replayable, Word Ace never gets old.
  • Astonishing value: Download Word Ace for FREE. All this costs you absolutely nothing!

Simply awesome game and a welcomed addition to the App Catalog.
