WebOS Game Development Promoted By Palm

In a move to bolster support and attention for Game Development on WebOS and the Palm Pre, the company announced the WebOS Game Developer Cafe where developers can share and discuss ideas and information in regards to game development on the platform. They also posted a general article about WebOS Game Development with a few tips and ideas, saying the following about the platform’s gaming future:
As we work to make our game-related APIs more robust, get in there and help us shape the future. Use web technologies to the limits of their capabilities – and your imaginations. Also, talk about what you’re doing on the Game Developer Cafe. And while you’re there tell us what you’d like to see. This is your platform: We’re here to add the capabilities that make you truly creative and successful—and to then step out of the way so your killer game can get the attention it deserves.
I love the attitude and tone of voice Palm uses – very much an inclusively plural “we” and “us” kind of thing which suggests developers have a say in the future of the platform. Now Palm just needs to walk the walk and we’ll be right there with them when they do!
