Palm has added Jeff Zwener to their management team as Senior Vice President of Brand Design. As Senior VP of Brand Design, Zwener’s job will be to oversee Palm’s global advertising, marketing communications, PR, events and web design.
Zwener has plenty of experience in this industry being the founder of the San Francisco branch of factor Design where he provided business for companies such as “Apple, Coca-Cola, Gap, GE, Hewlett-Packard, L.L. Bean, Nike and the Walt Disney Company.” He has also won numerous awards for his work over the years.
Zwerner also worked for Apple not once but twice! Once from 2001-2003 as Creative Director for Packaging and again from 1995-1996 as Senior Art Director. Now that Palm has managed to get headed in the right direction lets hope that Zwerner is the right man to help them keep the ball rolling.

Again, Palm seems to be looking to Apple for just about everything, from phone ideas, to marketing.
I wish they would include all the features my Treo 755p had before doing to much more. The pre is beautiful and shows a lot of promises. Its just when you have had a palm for the late 80’s till now you grow accustoms to have the device do certain things.
Another person said it best, palm locked there engineers in a room with the iphone, and never even looked at there treo series.

I hope he is not responsible for those creepy Pre commerials, if he is maybe they should fire him now. Every body I know either doesn’t like them, or has to watch them a couple of times to know what they are advertising. Everytime I see the Tamara Hope it’s a advertisement for New Moon, or some vampire movie. If she and her hair any paler you could see through her. I know they went for a artisy vibe. With it washed over and historic painting look. The girl in the white earings or Mona Lisa, I think not. This is one of those times when they should just show the phone, not the person using it.

Why not Wanka Bar, there is a belief by some that the orginial Palm device and OS was losely based on Apple’s Newton. And that is the reason back then palm’s pda’s worked so well with MACs. But I’m stating roomer’s, alot of the newton os is still being used by Apple in it’s OS, iphone, the orginal and current ipods.
