OpenTable, Fliq Bookmarks Hit App Catalog – Flood Gates Opening?

Palm just announced two new applications have hit the WebOS App Catalog: OpenTable and Fliq Bookmarks. These are the first two apps to land on the App Catalog in quite awhile, sparking renewed hope that the floodgates will open and new apps will start pouring in.

opentableOpenTable allows you to search nearby restaurants using your GPS location and set reservations that easily integrate into your calendar – pretty cool!

Fliq Bookmarks works with The Missing Synce for Palm Pre to add your Safari Bookmarks from your Mac to your Palm Pre. This won’t serve a large percentage of the market, but those it does serve are probably quite thankful.

Now lets hope Palm is propping open that recently opened door…
