Verizon Palm Pre Coming Early 2010: Company Re-Confirms
| by PalmWebOS.org on July 27th, 2009 |
Verizon Wireless has already come out and told us that they’ll be getting the Palm Pre – today was just confirmation that it will be coming in early 2010, possibly in January! The comment was made during the companies Q2 2009 Earnings report where in addition to adding 1.1 million customers (net), they faced some tough economic realities.
Verizon Wireless earnings per share were pennies below last year’s performance, signs that the sagging economy is an all-around affair. The company plans on cutting another 8,000 jobs over the next 6 months – a move that surely won’t help demand. Less people with jobs means less people with money to spend and considering Verizon is more stable than most companies, economic outlook can’t be too hot.
Nevertheless, Verizon customers with enough money in their pocket will probably consider the Palm Pre when it launches in early 2010. I’m sure there are a lot of excited Big Red WebOSers who have had nothing but envy for Sprint’s CDMA Pre love. Are you one of them?

Yay! This is great news, I love Verizon’s service it has never given me any problems. The only thing I dont like is their selection of phones, I want an iPhone but its not worth switching to AT&T, so this is awesome because I like this phone even more than the iPhone! QWERTY keyboard ftw!
