Palm Pre Extended Battery Arrives

Everyone loves high powered smartphones. Unfortunately poor battery life often comes with the territory. If you feel that way about the Palm Pre you may want to take a look at a new product by accessory maker Seidio who have manufactured an extended battery for the Palm Pre that is a little bit thicker than the original.
The battery life is more than DOUBLED: the original Pre battery is 1150 mAh and this version is 2600 mAh. Of course you’ll have a beefier Pre with a new back cover but for some that is a small price to pay.
The product is called the Seidio Pre Innocell 2600 and will be available July 31st for the price of $64.95. If you have the chance to try it out let us know if you like it. And oh… by the way… it doesn’t work with the Touchstone Charger.

Sorry but this is no opportuinity! It makes the Pre so damn ugly! The guys at Seidio have no fucktin’ idea about good design!!! Damn wanna-be-designers!

I don’t think it makes it look ugly but they should have thought of a way to make it work with the existing back cover. The next thing I have to ask is does their new back cover work with the Touchstone? I would doubt it and that knocks me off the list of potential buyers.

Bottomline, I need to extra battery life and I do welcome the slightly thickness to the Pre.

A better battery is a diffent plus. It’s amazin how someone is gonna complain about how the pre looks with a large cover. Did you get the pre for fuction or looks? Get serious. Some people wanna get the latest gadget even thou they don’t know how to use it.

I have this Seidio Innocell Extended battery and ITS GREAT!!! I can often go two days using everything from the navigation to extensive texting. Yes, it is beefier, but it is well worth it. You just don’t have to worry about charging the battery after extended use. I had a Touchstone and had to sell it….do I regret it. NO!!! I got over it.
