To date, the biggest problem people seem to have with the Palm Pre is the lack of applications in the App Catalog. This will soon be a thing of the past because Palm has just released their Mojo SDK (Software Developing Kit) to the public.

Mojo SDK released

For those of you who are not in the know about what an SDK is, it helps developers create applications for the particular platform, in this case webOS. Until now the Mojo SDK has only been available to a select few partners, many developers are very disappointed that open access has not been made a reality till a month after the device launched.

It is no doubt that developers are going to be swarming this release and spending hours creating and perfecting their applications. Now its time for the bad news; for whatever reason Palm will not be accepting developer submissions until the fall. Looks like we have a while longer to enjoy our 30 apps, just don’t wear them out.
