Sprint has decided to switch it up again when it comes to the Palm Pre and trying to get yours while it’s hot. Apparently starting on July 6th you will need to visit a Sprint retail store in order to get your hands on the little river rock.

sprint-logoOn June 24th Sprint Telesales went live but apparently the demand is still so high that they are revoking the privilege for us couch potatoes who don’t want to make the trip down there only to get on a waiting list. So if you still haven’t got one either order now or get up and out to your nearest retailer and get on that waiting list. Many stores in the west have waiting lists topping 100 customers. The turn over rate is said to be anywhere from a few days to a maximum of two weeks.

It hasn’t been said what the exact reason behind this decision is but they are telling us that the “Company direction has changed.” If it is indeed due to production and stock levels than it looks like the Pre is still as popular as ever. For now we don’t see a decrease in demand just yet.
