All of us long time videogame geeks have got to have emulators of all kinds on every device we own, from desktops to mobile phones and yes even other videogame systems just to say we did it. Now it appears its time for us Palm Pre owners to join the retro gaming ranks.

iPhone has been doing it for months now but it took a long time before we even saw a GameBoy emulator on the handset. Just weeks after the release of the device that completely surprised just about all of us there are videos emerging of a working Playstation One emulator running on it all thanks to Zodttd. As with many emulators there are a few bugs that they need to work out such as scaling, rotation and sound.

There is also another emulator that Nebula has been working on one that brings MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) games to our handsets, this one with sound. At this rate it won’t be long before we get a GameBoy, SMES and Sega Genesis emulator. We want to know what you guys think about emulation on the Palm Pre. What are you waiting to play?

A man after the classics. I would kill for a Golden Eye 007. You also can’t say no to a 2D Street Fighter game.

Think about the controls though, even with the keyboard, doing quarter-circle-kick and what not is going to be difficult, no?

That being said, I’d want Sonic.
    Or Tap-tap-revolution.

Controls would be nearly impossible yes but Sonic is always a welcome choice. As for Tap Tap I never saw the appeal. I’m still asking Tapulous about that one.
