Earlier we reported that next week we will more than likely be getting info on the Palm Pre release in the United Kingdom. At the time it was anyone’s guess weather or not it would be on UK providers Vodafone, O2 or T-Mobile. Guardian is now reporting that O2 will be the lucky carrier to get this flagship device.

It is predicted that the Palm Pre will be swooped up just as quick as it has been in the US over the last few weeks. With O2’s exclusive contract with Apple to carry the iPhone the addition of the Palm Pre is going to put a lot more business in their corner, pressing companies such as Orange for better customer incentives.

Apparently O2 refuses to comment on this rumor as of yet so we will have to wait until next week to find out the price point and exact launch date planned for the Palm Pre. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that releasing the Pre in the UK won’t add to the shortages we have seen in the US thus far.
