The Touchstone Charger is one of the coolest cell phone accessories out there at the moment – and certainly the coolest Palm Pre accessory available. But don’t you wish you could utilize the convenience of the wireless charger in other settings… like your car?

One enterprising individual took it upon himself to make that happen. He mounted the Touchstone Charger to the center console and – although you COULD connect it to the cigarette lighter – he hardwired it into the BMW electrical system to work seamlessly:

This is definitely the way all cell phone chargers should work. If they could standardize this and you could charge all your gadgets on one oversized Touchstone? Pure awesome.

That’s sweet! I think it’s only a matter of time before palm releases a car touchstone
