The public launch of the Mojo SDK for WebOS probably isn’t too far away as Palm is finally starting embrace the Open environment they claimed would come with the new mobile operating system. On their Developer Blog, Palm just announced the launch of their Open Source Portal which you can find at OpenSource.Palm.com!

Right now the site provides:

• Open Source Links to other Open Source projects Palm utilizes
• Open Soure Packages showing source codes for Open Source packages and modifications Palm makes
• Open Source License Information
• Contact Information

Right now the functionality is minimal, but I see this as a sign of Palm’s progress in the Open Source realm which is a GREAT thing. I’ve sent in a question asking if this:

• Is an indication Mojo SDK will be publically available soon, and
• If WHEN Mojo SDK becomes publically available, will these resources be found at OpenSource.Palm.com

Lets go Palm… we need to fill up that App Catalog. FULL STEAM AHEAD TOWARDS OPEN SOURCE!!!
