Palm Pre: John Biggs vs. Jason Hiner

Everybody is entitled to their opinion. It is interesting to hear (and see) the vastly different opinions of Crunch Gear’s John Biggs and TechRepublic’s Jason Hiner in regard to the Palm Pre:
And THIS ladies and gentlemen is why there is PLENTY of room for competition in the mobile market – different people have different preferences. Some will prefer the iPhone, some will prefer Android, some will prefer BlackBerry, some will prefer WinMo and some will prefer WebOS and the Palm Pre. To each their own.
I think saying WebOS and the Palm Pre aren’t your cup of tea is one thing but to completely dismiss it as a viable option and platform is failure to see things objectively if you ask me. Thoughts?

Too many platforms? That’s like saying I don’t know why Toyota built the Prius. Seems like I get everything I need out of my Hummer.

The only good thing about the iphone is it looks “cool” but other than that, it’s an overpriced piece of junk. People may say M$ is evil but at least they don’t lock you in like Apple, if Apple and Microsoft switched places in the market, Apple would be much worse. The new WinMo isn’t bad considering it is now the only device that supports Native Code without jailbreaking and Blackberry’s are great for businesses, being the most secure device on the market. Android and WebOS are the best overall being the most open, but each have their own faults.
