While this doesn’t seem like a widespread issue, if your Palm Pre screen goes blank and crashes whenever you open/close your phone you are NOT alone. It is a pretty brutal problem that would, more or less, render your phone useless if you need to use the keyboard. If you DON’T have this problem than you’re lucky, but you might also be curious what it looks like:

That looks nasty. Reminds me of how a calculator looks when you rub your fingers all over it if you know what I mean.

I think it is safe to say that if this happened to you, they’ll let you walk into the store you bought it and provide you with a replacement phone as soon as they have more stock on hand.
