Proud Owner Of A Palm Pre

This blog has certainly been quiet for such a monumental day… and there is a reason. Last night I recorded a video announcing the winner of our Palm Pre Contest. By the time I published it and finished up some odds and ends work it was 3AM.
Should I go to bed or pull an all-nighter? Knowing I might sleep through an alarm clock, I pulled an all-nighter. Oddly enough though, I didn’t head over to the Sprint store until about 6:45am. I was the 8th person in line and met a bunch of really cool people. One of them just happened to be a member of our forums – B-MORE!
The line grew to about 20-25 people by the time the store opened its doors at 8am. While there were plenty of Pre phones to go around for everyone who got their on time, there were only 7 TouchStone chargers and I was able to get one of those, thankfully.
Long story short: I got my Pre, rushed home to record a ton of video to publish on the website, but the 30 hours of being awake caught up to me. I fell asleep on the couch as I played with my Pre for the first time. Talk about sleeping like a baby…
Rather than rush into things, tonight I’m going to take some time to get familiar with the ins-and-outs of the Pre. Tomorrow I’ll record a bunch of videos and Monday I will publish them. In the meantime I’ll keep my eyes on the forum but just a heads up.

There were only about 10 touchstones is my Sprint store and 55 pre units available, the store was out of Pre’s by time 9 am rolled around. I was first in line at around 5 am and the line grew to about 50 people by time 8am rolled around

I hate that the sales people at Sprint lied. I went to best buy at 8 and waited till 10 a.m. they had 3 phone.
Sprint sales told me I could not charge the pre to my acount the day before. After getting the one at best buy, I went to the sprint store and the sales man gladly charged on onto my acount. Why the deseption.
