Trying to decide where to attempt a Palm Pre purchase on launch day seems like the question of the decade. While we know availability will be extremely limited, new information is pointing to the actual Sprint Corporate stores as having a healthy amount of inventory when compared to that of Best Buy and Radio Shack. One store was reported to have 50 Pre phones as opposed to the 15 or so maximum found at one Best Buy.

So should you definitely go to Sprint? Chances are more people will also be going to Sprint than the 3rd party retailers so it is still a toss up. But I will say this… Sprint stores open at 8am whereas some BestBuy locations don’t open until 10am – like the one near me. Why not try the Sprint store and if you’re unlucky, head on over to BestBuy and see if you can get lucky there? Seems like that might offer the best chance.

Unless of course you’ve got an army of followers who can spread out and man up at different retail locations, all for their valiant King’s quest to acquire the Holy Grail of mobile phones!
