Palm Pre Winner Or Loser?

What would you do for a Palm Pre? One guy decided to get a HUGE tatoo of the Palm Pre on his upper arm just so he could win a Free Palm Pre. The contest was put on by PreCentral and although he is called the “First Winner” I would be more likely to call him the “Biggest Loser” – and I’m not talking about the television show.
It is one thing to be a fan, fanatical, somewhat obsessive and all of that over the Palm Pre and WebOS. It might even be cool/funny/entertaining to do something crazy like eat a worm, try a crazy stunt, do something embarrassing in public… whatever. But to permanently mark your body with an oversized version of the Palm Pre seems, to me at least, along the border line of corny and depressing.
Agree or disagree?
The guy seems pretty excited and stoked about the entire thing from start to finish. Maybe the 15 minutes of fame was part of the excitement? I don’t know… I’m just trying to figure out how – when the negatives seem to overwhelm the positives – you can consider the outcome a winning one.
