If you want to be a Palm Pre owner on launch day, you’ll have to get off your tush and into a Sprint Store, Best Buy or RadioShack because the Palm Pre will NOT be available for purchase on the web or over the phone on June 6th. In fact, there is no telling WHEN it will be available via the other two methods, especially considering the expected shortage. Sprint has a pretty profound Pre education model and customer satisfaction plan in place but they can only push that if you walk into the store. So they are making sure you do.

Time to pull the old Amish trick – cut off your computer and stop being lazy – if you want your Palm Pre you will have to work for it. But nothing feels better than feeling like you earned something rather than have it handed to you, right?

Maybe. I still would prefer to fight this battle via mouse click even though I’ve never had luck on Black Friday Web Deals. So back to the age old question…

• Best Buy?
• Radio Shack?
