The fact that the Palm Pre will face unfortunate shortages isn’t stopping BestBuy from promoting the upcoming hotness wherever it can. Most recently, the Palm Pre was spotted in a Best Buy publication caleld the “Buyer’s Guide” which highights all the mobile offerings at Best Buy Mobile.

It might sound stupid, but it makes sense. You’ve got THE hottest phone at the moment, why not PUSH it? Even if consumers come into the store and your Best Buy doesn’t have any in stock, which is looking like a likely predicament, getting you in the store is half the battle. While you’re there you might either buy a different phone, check out a some movies/music or get suckered into purchasing something else.
