Which Sprint Stores Will Have The Palm Pre?

To answer my own question… All of them. In an attempt to track down the ever elusive bit of Palm Pre news, some are attempting to calculate which stores will and will not have the Palm Pre. To do so they’re using the Sprint Store Locator, typing in their area and concluding that only stores listed with “Special Store Hours on June 5th” will have the Pre In-Stock.
Don’t believe the inverse hype – Sprint has already said that all Sprint-owned retail stores will carry the Pre. The more likely scenario is that only some stores are opening early and another question would be how many will each store have?
Your best bet is to print out a list of all the Sprint stores near you and, as launch day approaches, call each and try to pinpoint how many Pre phones they have in stock and what time they will be opening that morning. Your calculations might just help you in your bid to become one of the earth’s first Palm Pre purchasers.

Old news. It’s been widely reported that Sprint is removing the special hours from their store locator. I can personally vouch that in my case, of the half-dozen or so Sprint stores in my area, ALL had special hours listed earlier but currently not a single one is listed as having one.
