As usual, Joshh347 from our forums came through in the clutch, hand delivering Palm’s latest tweet directly to our fingertips. Remember the Palm Pre Real Reviewers Program? They are being contacted TODAY for the final round!
He announced it best so I’ll leave his words in tact:
Brace yourself people!! Palm is alive and tweeting! They just tweeted that they are going to be contacting the final candidates for the REAL REVIEWERS today. Keep your phone on you at all times today and be ready for a call!
Palm’s tweet: “Response to Real Reviewers was overwhelming! Contacting candidates for final round this afternoon.”
Go somewhere you have a great signal, like a tall mountain, and stand in one spot staring at your phone… willing it to ring. It might just happen… TODAY. Of course be sure to hit us up if you are contacted, we want to hear the skinny!

As I posted on PreCentral as well, they didn’t say I couldn’t, so…I’ll tell you that I in fact got a call today, from Kelly Kirkpatrick at Palm (hi, Kelly!). I was told that I’m a “finalist,” and that I was going to receive a postal letter later this week to which I need to respond via e-mail. Beyond that, I know nothing, either about how many finalists there are, by what criteria the winners would be selected, or what would happen next.
Whatever else, I’m fairly confident that Palm won’t lack for volunteer “real reviewers,” whether or not they are given free Pres. The Palm user community has always been enthusiastic and helpful, and it’s great that Palm is releasing something to be enthusiastic about! {ProfJonathan}
