Palm Pre TV Ad Featuring Oversized Facebook

Sprint’s new advertisements have featured pop culture digital sensations to hone in on the buzz factor. Their WSJ ad features Twitter and they made a few TV ads that subtly shout out Pandora and Loopt. But the latter was an Ad for Sprint’s 3G network that merely included the Pre – Sprint is working on a Pre specific ad that seems to include Facebook in a BIG way.
According to the tweets and pictures of Jaime Gonzalez, someone who is supposedly “on-set” at the filming, Sprint is working on a crazy commercial that features on oversized version of Facebook that appears to be several stories high with a big balcony to boot. The ad will theoretically feature people sporting the Pre who easily “toss” items from everyday life – a vacaction/trip, picture taking with friends, etc… – into their social/web life by jumping into the oversized Facebook creation.
Pretty awesome, right?
That’s just an example of what Sprint COULD be doing with what appears to be a Palm Pre Facebook commercial but until more details arrive in our inbox, we’ll assume anything can happen. Heck, this might just be another Sprint 3G commercial that merely features the Pre. But I hope it is a Pre commercial because this looks awesome enough to do the new WebOS phone justice.

Wait, I have a Pre and Facebook sucks on it. Facebook is mobile-web based and is VERY limited. I was able to accomplish soooo much more on the Blackberry Facebook app.
For Pete’s sake, PLEASE develop a Facebook and MySpace app for Pre.
I Soooo wished I had waited before buying this phone. Without the apps, basic texting abilities, cut & paste on recieved emails/texts, and PRACTICLE integration with Telenav, I feel like i bought a barebones I-Phone clone.
The phone is polished and has TONS of potential, but I feel like by the time I’m able to do the things I did on my Curve, I’ll have BUY a 2nd Gen Pre; and THAT will p#@$ me the F^%$n off..
