When Palm’s super cool Touchstone charger was first introduced as a wireless method of charging your phone we were filled with the sense of yearning awesomeness. But you still have to plug the Touchstone in so what does it save… a few seconds? Yes, it DOES have the cool factor and yes it DOES prevent wires hanging all over the place not to mention broken charge ports and mangled inputs/outputs but what is the Touchstone charger worth to you?

If you think it is worth any less than $70 then you probably won’t be buying it. An internal screenshot of a Sprint computer database shows the PALM TOUCHSTONE CHARGING DOCK W DOOR available for the price of $69.99 and when you add taxes… is it worth it?

For me, yes. After about a year all of my non-mini-USB charge ports seem to get all fubarred and I probably end up spending more than the $70 when all is said and done anyways. Plus I’m forgetful… I put my phone down on the table and never plug the charger in and then when it is time to leave hey look, no battery! Sometimes it is the simple things that count. And when/if they can ever make this thing charge via solar power… oh man… game on!

Will you pay the $69.99 for the Touchstone? (Keep in mind the price could still change)
