It’s hard to argue with the fact that the Palm Pre is gorgeous, especially when the person holding it is gorgeous and staring at the back of the phone. That’s because the glossy back is incredibly reflective – something you WON’T have if you get the Touchstone Charger for the Palm Pre.

Why? Because the glossy back cover doesn’t have the magnets in it that are necessary for the charger to work so a replacement cover comes with the Touchstone – a replacement that is non-glossy. Some people will like the non-gloss and others will hate it but one thing is certain at least for now: if you want to use Touchstone you can’t have a glossy back and if you want a non-glossy back you can only get it by buying Touchstone.
